the creative cycle

you stumble into a new diner at too late at night, its warm lights beckoning you over. you walk in and the chef is serving ghost food to the souls haunting the place. they see you and say-

This is also about the art/writing creative cycle. The meaning gap was a little difficult for me, and I may have taken it too far, but when you think of “creating” you often think more of art of some sort, less so cooking. Still, both cooking and creating art feed you and spark feelings before and after making them, and I love writing ghosts, mortality, and living as aspects of creative creation. Feeding people entwines with those themes very closely, as both the creative cycle and cooking tend to be very cyclical. It’s very difficult to simply stop thinking about making art or cooking, because we can’t stop having thoughts or eating or else we die. Admittedly, as this loop has very little coding, the playtest I did with friends didn't give me anything to fix or take into account, but it was good to know it was working.
